It's April, which means it's time for Camp NaNoWriMo! Camp NaNoWriMo takes place in April and July, and it's much more flexible than the November one (where the goal is to write 50,000 words in 30...
I signed a book deal!
My genre-blending supernatural thriller has found a home! The Shadow Knows will be published by CamCat Books in Fall of 2021. This novel started as a kernel of an idea that came to me in a dream...

Women in Horror Month
It’s Women in Horror Month, and Gehenna & Hinnom Books are featuring the women who have contributed to their magazine and anthologies. I am one of the women featured in their “Women in Hinnom Part 2: The Magazine’s 2nd Year” blog post.
My short story Sundown was published in issue 008 of Hinnom Magazine last August. I’m so honoured to have a piece in their magazine, and I’m incredibly flattered by what they have to say about my short story! I’ve never had someone say that my writing is “so damn good” before, but that’s because most of my feedback comes from my mother, and she rarely swears. Three are online only, and the other four are print. Check out my writing page for links. Bear in mind that I was submitting them a lot in 2017, and a couple of them were accepted in 2017, but only published in 2018. Submitting short stories is time consuming and hard work!
My First Short Story Publication
I wrote “In Deep Water” last January for the first round of the NYC Midnight Short Story Challenge. I was assigned to write a comedy about a self-help guru with the theme of rejection. In seven days. Not as easy as it sounds!
