New Author Spooky Interview Series

Picture of a casefile which reads "Authorized Accounts of the Paranormal and Unexplained" and says "Helen Power" followed by "Low Times in the Highlands". There's a book cover for the novel "Phantom" by Helen Power, a picture of a white castle, and a photo of a white woman with brown hair smiling at the camera.

Written by Helen Power

Helen Power is obsessed with ghosts. She spends her free time watching paranormal investigation TV shows, going on ghost walks, and telling anyone who’ll listen about her paranormal experiences. She is also an academic librarian living in Saskatoon, Canada and has several short story publications, including ones in Suspense Magazine and Dark Helix Press’s Canada 150 anthology, Futuristic Canada. The Ghosts of Thorwald Place is her first novel.

Happy October!

In honour of spooky season, I’m launching a new author interview series over on BibliOccult.com: The Library of the Odd, the Obscure, and the Occult.

If you’ve been following me for a while, you might remember that I used to research and write blog posts about various spooky and unexplained occurrences that were related to books. Haunted bookstores, cursed museum objects, mysterious author disappearances… This blog has been on hiatus since late 2018, because I’ve been busy writing books instead! Author(ized) Accounts of the Paranormal and Unexplained.” In this series, I’ll feature a new author who tells their spooky personal story, followed by answering 3 questions about their latest project. We’re kicking off the new series with an author a week, but after Spooktober ends, it will move to one new author a month.

This is the only time I’ll be posting about this on my website (unless there’s some kind of major update), so if you want to get news of every new author featured, follow me on my socials, subscribe to BibliOccult emails, or follow BibliOccult on Instagram (links below!).

The first post went live today and features the story of how I was nearly lured to my death by a mysteriously familiar apparition in Scotland this past summer…
